My Mind - My Weapon

My Stability
My Stability

"As a man thinks- so is he." Mental strength- without it, we are weakened in all we do or desire to do.

Our mental abilities perform unconscious and conscious physical, emotional, and spiritual responses, which are necessary for our stability. Without our mind, that power, all else is altered.

The mind must be addressed first and foremost before anything can be healed or become stable. An unstable mind, unsettled or rattled in transition, leaves one vulnerable. A mental breakdown can and will compromise all our functions, ultimately affecting our overall stability and well-being.

Your mind is the receptor of your living, your habits, and your circumstances. As they change, they are filtered through your perception of what will be or could be the best solution. If not addressed responsibly, it can remain subconsciously and persist until it is dealt with. However, that can have an impact on our overall attitude, stability, and health.

My writing, Managing Your Madness, was my way of regaining my stability while dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of Cancer. It's a part of the rollercoaster ride we live through as we journey through life. My stability was rattled and without control, I was aiding a medical condition I was faced with. I was neglecting my need for stability. I wasn't sleeping or eating properly, my emotions were rattled, and at times are, I questioned my spirituality, and mentally I was withdrawing. My balance, my need to be myself, was tilting, and it was of no help to the condition I had to face... if I was to live my life to the fullest.

"As a man thinks- so is he." Often, it is believed that when the body is sick, our mental state is okay. Once we understand that the body is controlled by the interplay of our mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects, we can stabilize our existence. Each affects how well we live, how we manage through tough times.

Managing Your Madness, getting through it means we must recognize the signs, the triggers, while admitting we need balance. We should be aware of what we need to maintain our balance as we navigate this journey, uncertain of what tomorrow may bring. Whatever it may be, we need balance in our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual lives. Get your copy www.nanettembuchanan.com
