Have faith but don't be foolish...

Updated: Feb 25, 2021

What happens in the midst of a crisis. You have concerns but there is no need to worry. There is a cure….better days are ahead. During a crisis we are *Off guard – unprepared – *Shook up – things are not the norm – *You see to be spinning your wheels – you don’t notice others and their problems Stand still, take a moment, pause…this crisis has affected more than you. If it’s your business, your finances, your home, your family, your worship, your faith. All have been shaken…and it’s shaking others too. How does one find their prospective when all of us are going through this crisis together? No one has the solution that would end this today. One thing is for sure….everyone wants it to be over! This situation has caused many to reflect. What do I have, what can I do, what can I share, how do I continue each day? Locked in with family, distanced by the thought of infection, changed by a worldwide virus that has caused us to live with caution. Caution that we should have lived with, rules we should have abided to, a crisis….could it have been avoided? “…How does one find their prospective when all of us are going through this crisis together? No one has the solution..” It matters not…because today no matter what the age, creed or color. No matter what your status is, no matter where you work or what your financial situation is, no matter where you live, no matter what your health or wisdom…. we are all in this crisis together. What does your faith say? We here in the USA are one nation, under God…..did we forget the rest. I truly believe that the lesson during this time is we forgot. We got foolish. Foolish with our family, our love for each other, our love for what we’ve been blessed to have. Our jobs have been halted, our finances diminished, our daily needs staggered, our health questioned, what we know as the “good life” threatened. We have been locked out and locked into an awareness that scares us all. We now know just how blessed we were simply because there is a threat our lives will never be the same. It’s time to be renewed and not common. What we took for granted was the blessing. It’s time to learn to be spiritual and connect through our faith. Our belief that we have not become a productive society to lose it all to a virus…that we now, in every religion are praying for relief. Prayer increases faith and yes, we’ve all come together in lifting prayers. Prayers for those who are diagnosed, prayers for the deceased, and prayers that this virus ceases to claim our world, our nation, our people, us. We now need each other, even with the social distance we need each other. “…We now know just how blessed we were simply because there is a threat our lives will never be the same. It’s time to be renewed and not common…” Worship rather than worry. Be real about who you are and your worship. Let everything that has breath… We have come to a time when without a prayer, with faith, without belief we will elevate tension, anxiety, stress, and worry. Trust that without everyone we will be diminished day after day. This crisis has taught lessons, recognize them. Every person that this virus touches matters. Pray for them, a prayer for them is a prayer for each of us. It’s real, and it’s time for us to understand….. faith is not foolish. Being foolish is not faithful. We are in this crisis together. A crisis created by us, our neglect for each other and for where and how we live has spread this condition. Now we see it… don’t be destructive to ourselves and others. Be faithful. I’ll pray for you….in return…..you know what to do.
